Equipment

  • Knife
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Non-stick frying pan

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce pork liver pate
  • 1 ounce Vietnamese-style mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup garlic sauce
  • 3.5 ounces Vietnamese pickled carrots and daikon
  • 0.33 ounce unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 loaf of baguette
  • Other vegetables: Cucumber, chili peppers, green onions, coriander, lettuce, etc.
  • Condiments: Chili sauce, mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Rinse the vegetables like cucumber and green onions. Let them dry.
Slice the cucumber and chili peppers. Then, julienne green onions.
  • Melt butter in a hot pan. Crack an egg into the pan and cook it until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • Remove the egg from the heat. And arrange all ingredients around so you can assemble your sandwich easily.
  • Slit the baguette along its side.
  • Spread the pork liver pate evenly inside the bread. The next spread is the Vietnamese-style mayonnaise.
  • Next, fill the baguette with cucumber, pickles, green onions, garlic sauce, and the sunny-side-up egg.
  • Then, drizzle the chili sauce and mayonnaise and add some chili slices on top.
Serve this fried egg sandwich while it’s hot.

Notes

  • The cooking time is calculated based on 1 serving.
  • Heat your baguette in the oven for several minutes before assembling, so it’ll stay crispy.
  • Place your sunny-side-up egg on a paper towel to eliminate excess oil.
  • Since the sunny-side-up egg doesn’t have any seasoning, use other sauces to enhance the flavors for this sandwich.
  • Remove the baguette’s inner flesh if your bread is too dense, so the filling won’t fall out when eating.
