For Frying Fish
Cut cod fillet into smaller strips (around 3-1/2-inch pieces).Mix batter ingredients, including flour, spices, garlic, and beer, and use a whisk to blend them together.Dip fish pieces into the batter thoroughly and evenly. To fry them, first, let's heat the oil over medium-high heat on a stovetop. Once heated, drop seasoned cod into a pan and fry each side for 2 or 3 minutes until golden brown and crispy outside and opaque inside. Then transfer fried fish to a plate lined with oil-absorbing kitchen paper so it can absorb the excess oil.
For Taco Sauce
Use another bowl to mix sauce ingredients with a kitchen whisk. If you want to increase the heat of your sauce, you can add more Adobo sauce or your favorite sauce. Set aside
For Vegetables
Use any vegetables you like, but recommended ones are purple cabbage, tomatoes, onions, avocado, parsley, and cilantro.Shredd, chop, or cut them into small pieces
Assembling Fish Tacos
Start by spreading creamy sauce on one tortilla side.Spread out the vegetables, add fish pieces, and a few avocado slices. Drizzle the sauce over the filling and sprinkle some chopped parsley and cilantro.Fold tacos and serve them with lime wedges so you can squeeze lime juice over the top. Enjoy while they are still hot.
- Corn or wheat tortillas are suitable for this recipe
- Use light beer to make the batter
- The best oils for frying are sunflower, canola, or avocado oil.
- You can use yogurt in place of sour cream. However, the sauce texture might be a bit runnier.
